reading this book is like having a conversation with the author...full of humor and beautiful imagery. You don't have to be a fly fisherman to enjoy it but it might help,to understand the wonderful title!
Dauphinee has a very natural and flowing writing style. He conveys the experience of being a Mainer and describe its regional quirks and color very well. Many of his stories made me laugh. It's about much more than fishing.

I loved the book and the way that the story was told. Good book if you like fly fishing, or just plain ole fishing. I have been to several of the places in the book and it was just great to read! I bought one for my son and so far most of his extended family has also read the book.
Very refreshing to read about REAL inspiring stories written by a down-to-earn author who clearly is not writing for profits. Many will be inspired, as was I, to pursue their personal passions and live life fully. Good work.
A small delightful book that makes an excellent present for anybody who loves the outdoors. Amusingly written, but I had hoped
for a little more about the authors fishing experiences.
